This month Rachel shares her yummy Russian Fudge recipe with us all.
Super simple but so good - and perfect as a gift when you jazz it up as she has using some packaging from her collection.
Microwave Russian Fudge
100g butter
1 cup sugar
¼ cup golden syrup
400g can condensed milk
1 tsp vanilla essence
Mix the first four ingredients in a microwave proof bowl.
Microwave on high power (100%) for 9 minutes, stirring every 2 minutes.
The mixture will bubble vigorously. Drop a little in a cup of cold water and it should form a soft ball rather than flattening.
Add vanilla essence to mixture and beat with electric beater for 5 minutes.
Pour onto a buttered metal surface (small square tin) and left stand until cold. Cut into squares.
Not one but two tutorials for you!
One of Nic's New Year's resolutions is to find enough to time to read and occasionally enjoy a DVD or two with her family. She started writing the names of good books on various scraps of paper as they were recommended but quickly realised she needed a dedicated notebook to keep her lists straight.
This is a regular notebook but with a little embellishing from this months Tarisota collection, it has turned into something special. Nic used the Kraft coloured packaging from some of the Prima Packets as embellishment for her front cover, as well as the dividers dedicated to "Books I've read, Books to read, and DVDs".
Perhaps you have a diary or notebook sitting around just waiting for a little embellishing - follow Nic's quick steps below to see how.
Step 1:
Cut a piece of Prima transparency the same size as the front of your notebook/diary.
Sew strips of fabric and ribbon down the left side.
Step 2:
Add the Prima Felt Gate
Step 3:
Add flower and other embellishments, and adhere to the front of your notebook/diary.
NOTE: If you want the transparency colours to show well, place a piece of white cardstock behind before adhering to your book.
and there you have it - a perfect spot to keep your list of to read and to watch!
