Gauze Fabric Rosette Tutorial

Did you notice these gorgeous rosettes on Gigi's layout this month ?

Here she provides you with a step by step tute :)

supplies needed:

gauze fabric from style studio fabric pack
scissors
glue &/or embroidery thread & needle
button

step 1:  cut a 1 1/2" strip of fabric about 12" long

step 2:  tie a knot in the middle of your fabric strip

 

step 3:  hold your fabric strip by the knot & swirl the 2 ends around it creating your rosette.  while you are swirling the fabric, twist it together as well making a nice pretty rosette

 

step 4:  when you come down to just a bit left of your ends, tuck them behind the center of your rosette.

step 5:  At this point, you can pop your rosette right on a project in a dab of glue.  The glue will keep it all together.  Or you can secure all the layers together by sewing on a button in the center.
