Another week and another pretty colour combo. I used last week's as an nispiration for my new blog header and the colours for fonts and my side bar images.
This week something slightly different - Magenta and Lime. It's very striking don't you think?

I have been pinning ever since Pinterest opened. I love to open my pins and look at all the pretty things. More than anything though I feel happy from the pretty:)
It's one of the reasons I started a pinspiration board - It's fabulous colour combinations that make me happy. It's been forever since I have made any pinspirations and I think that it's high time I started again.

There is something so pretty and summery about orange and pink. Have you noticed that the price of fresh flowers has skyrocketed lately? I used to always have fresh flowers in the house but now it seems they are crazy expensive and there isn't a much choice. Maybe it's just the places I go :(

I have always been a sucker for pretty wallpapers- though I have never decorated with any! There is something about a claw footed bath that is just so decadent. This week I have teemed that pretty decor with some handmade tomato pincushions. Totally mismatched but the colours together are so nice!

I keep seeing that sweet recipe on my boards for raspberries - so simple - fresh berries stuffed with a variety of different chocolate chips . I must make some. Then that divine flower centre piece caught my eye and the two are just a perfect match.

After an uncharacteristic turn back in weather to super cold ( well super cold for me ) I have found myself thinking about spring and picnics. These colours sing to me in the cool afternoon. Aren't those roses just divine? I never see such pretty colours at our markets. I wish I did I would snap them up for sure.

I am back pinning pinspirations again I missed it!. I kept seeing that stripey skirt on a number of people's pinboards. I love it so much. Sad that I'm a little too round to wear such an obvious stripe especially going that way LOL. I love that the bright orange is teamed with the soft pink - so pretty and almost MadMan ish don't you think? I would totally have that chair in some cute corner of my home if a) I had a spare corner and b) if Richard wouldn't pass out looking at the colour explosion.

Another colour inspired post -from my pinterest pins. I gasped when I saw those pretty fabrics but was so sad when Janelle told me they'd be very hard to find - this is a LONG time favourite colour combo for me - I think of it as a muted red and aqua LOL and then that adorable stitched case popped up and I knew I had this weeks colour combo for sure.

This is my tenth week of Pinspirations :) and I still love doing them :)
As soon as I pinned that little cushion from Heather Bailey this week I knew it would be used in my colour palette for Pinspiration. The pop of lavender on the grey with an almost mustard green. If you click on through you'll see she has prepared the flowers as a little brooch as well which I totally love and its on my to make radar. I'd like one in a red black cream combination. I don't think I have ever seen that perfume here in Aus if I had it certainly would have caught my eye so elegant :)

This weeks pinspiration nearly snuck by me - with tomorrow being a public holiday in Qld I didn't even twig that it was Sunday night. Of course I have had one eye on the logies and another on masterchef so my evening just slipped away.
I'm trying very hard to keep my pinterest boards to a minimum and organised - but I keep seeing things that I like which don't fit into any of my categories - so I just pop them in my like file for a while. That's where these two came from.
The parasols while gorgeous would never cut it in for me - though I could get away with the black perhaps?? That sweet fabric bag is on my CASE list - copy and steal everything :)

This weeks pinspiration is in anticipation of my gorgeous new vintage fat quarters I am going to be receiving any time soon after participating in a vintage Sheet Fat Quarter Swap. Mel found the quilt to show me and I love anything by Dottie Angel. I wish I was her -she is so clever with her needle.
I'm too impatient and slap dash near enough - which doesn't work for quilting.
