Despite being home and not working I am still all for fast meals. Although I'm looking hard to do as healthy as I can I do like to use convenient prepared bits when I'm in the need for fast.
This one has hit our regular rotation now.
Yes I totally know I can buy those bits and cut them up - but really this gets on my table in 20 minutes. It's way more healthy than a chinese take away.
Just a note on the rice - while we know that brown rice is better for you we are a white rice family - it's in the genes ;) Sun rice puts out a brand called Clever Rice which is lower GI / Cals you can read about it here. I've only used it so far for steaming but I will try it in a risotto at some stage and let you know what I think.
Rice in the rice cooker first up.
- Turn the griller on and pop the kebabs under.
- Heat up electric frypan - add some onions to saute.
- Chop up the cabbage.
- Throw in the vege packet.
- Turn your kebabs.
- Add the mushrooms.
- Add some extra flavour - garlic , a dash of soy, honey, stock - whatever you have and like.
- Add the cabbage.
- The rice will soon pop and your stir fry is ready along with the kebabs.
