It was so good to be feeling almost human again and eating!!!- and have now relapsed today - what is that ?? Blinking no rules to chemo and the rubbish that goes with.
Anyhow the girls were glad to have their Mumma back albeit for a little while.
and made the most of it planning lots of fun things in the kitchen where I can sit up at the bench and supervise.
Sofia tackled a rolled lamb roast -which turned out really delicious ( first ever - thansk to Super Foods little video YAY )and Tals created the yummiest desert- just a made up creation on her part involving chocolate biscuit, ice cream , strawberries, chocolate sauce, berry coulis and blueberries.
If you are looking for a yummy as choc sauce try this one.
Chocolate Sauce
- 200ml pure cream
- 50ml milk
- 200g dark chocolate broken up ( we used Lindt 70% )
- 20g cocoa powder
Heat the milk and cream until just bubbling - remove from heat and mix through the cocoa powder and dark chocolate until melted. Leave to cool.
It makes about a cup and half and keeps in the fridge if you have any left.
Seriously considering making this as one of our give out gifts we keep at Christmas time for people who drop by. It would look so nice in jars with ribbons.
Can someone remind me if I forget and start asking later in the month what can I give as gifts LOL??

The girls also made these cupcakes - I'd show you a picture but between us and the neighbours we ate them all super fast soooo good. We will be using this recipe again for sure.
We went shopping at Robina in search of party dresses for the girls birthday. Target was a winner were we found two different dresses- one black and one pink and black and 30% off. I love target.
We also hit up spotlight for costumes for guides and Halloween- $2.50 50% off vinyl capes - one we cut into a bat shape and the other stayed as is. Long stripey socks jean shorts black T shirts. Kind of a funky bat and vampire. I said no teeth - yep meanest Mumma ever - there were all so disgusting looking. They have a guides party bobbing for apples and playing murder in the dark. Each family has to take a dish - we are sending along these spider dogs - using little cheerios.
Richard played golf -he had a rubbish round - poor thing - He also managed to fit in a game of squash and on Sunday night he had to jump out of the way of a spark of lighting that came through the cabling in the wall near his computer for work. I kid you not. 9.40 last night - was super scary. We lost internet connection and won't be back on until probably Friday when Telstra send us new modems. We are now both running on sticks though he can't access his work properly yet. He made Mel's delicious roast vege soup - it's bubbling away on the stove now. If you haven't tried this recipe you so should.
This morning I headed for my blood test - tonight I'm off to the oncologist for the plan for round three - Thursday.
