{random photo of some cupcakes I made - wish I could bake up a batch for you Tamar!}
It's Mel here from One Crafty Mumma and I thought I'd hack into Tamar's blog (hehehe) and do a surprise post for her. For those that don't know, I live in Tasmania and have known Tamar for about 7 or 8 years now. I consider her one of my dearest friends and we email, text and skype together a lot. We talk about all sorts of nonsense - crafting, what we're cooking for dinner, blythe dolls, cute finds on the net, what our little darlings are doing, our big plans for the future, dreams we have, silly stuff and we sometimes even do littles whines about our husbands - in a very nice way of course!
These last few weeks we've been talking about how much cancer sucks and sharing tears (well, me mainly because Tamar pulls me into line when I get all sad, she's good like that!) and about what beautiful readers she has here on her blog. I know that Tamar has blogged already about your generous comments, prayers, cards and thoughtful gifts that you've been sending her, but I wanted to tell you that they're brightening her day to no end. We all know it's not nice being unwell, but when somebody takes the time out of their day to do or say something sweet and kind, it truly does lift spirits and put smiles on faces. Hooray for smiles!
Right now I wish I lived closer to my friend, so I could help her out & also spend time crafting with her gorgeous girls, when Tamar's not quite feeling up to it. Sadly I don't, so I'm having fun with a little bit of blog hacking instead.
Yesterday Tamar had her first round of chemo. She's not feeling so fantastic today, so please leave her a nice message on this post to lift her spirits. xoxo
OOoh, I do like this blog hacking business - it's so fun!! I might be back again soon - unless Tamar is onto me and changes her password :)
P.S. Please email at: [email protected] if you would like Tamar's address to send her a card or nice letter.
