Blog Day was created with the belief that bloggers should have one day dedicated to getting to know other bloggers from other countries and areas of interest, and Nuffnang is proud to be celebrating the 6^th Blog Day anniversary on 31^st August.

Therefore in light of that I'm sharing with you 6 of my new favourite blogs.

SHIMTOKK is a collaborative blog between Sally J Shim of  SHIM + SONS and Joke Vande Gaer of TOKKETOK. 

They teach workshops on creative packaging and parties. 

 

Alex is addicted to all things design. She also has a fascination and passion for crafting, cooking, kitties, and anything quirky, unusual, or out of the ordinary.

Tabitha Emma is a freelance designer and illustrator, she has produced a variety of design and illustration work, both print and digital.  She also releases a beautiful screen saver each month which I always have on my mac :)

And really would it even be a round up without some yummy recipes? I think not.  The Cake Mistress ( cool name ) specialises in treats - and they are awesome - Flourless Chocolate cake and red velvet cupcakes are my two all time favourites.

Fathers Day Ideas

Loved this one as soon as I saw it - you have to gather your own images but it's a very thorough DIY and not too tricky.

We haven't decided what we will do exactly - and umm sometimes Richard reads my blog so I had better not say. LOL

Pinspiration {15}

I have always been a sucker for pretty wallpapers- though I have never decorated with any! There is something about a claw footed bath that is just so decadent.  This week I have teemed that pretty decor with some handmade tomato pincushions. Totally mismatched but the colours together are so nice!

Girl Planners

What's for Dinner? - Cannelloni

This weeks what's for dinner I serve when we have guests coming over - as well as a mid week meal. - I make two varieties but you could easily just do one and with a prepared jar of pasta sauce and lasagne sheets this is a super fast meal to prepare.

 

 Ingredients

• Fresh lasagna or cannelloni sheets
• Chicken mince
• Onion
• Garlic
• Jar of pasta sauce
• Block of frozen spinach
•  tub of ricotta
•  nutmeg
•  salt and pepper
• grated cheese

Prepare the Mince

• Cook the garlic and onion in a pan and brown your mince.

Prepare the Spinach mix

• Defrost your spinach in the microwave and squeeze out all the excess water.
• Mix with ricotta and nutmeg and season to taste

If you are using lasagne sheets cut them into thirds

Add some of your mix and roll up

 In a baking dish pour some past sauce until the bottom is just covered lightly.

Layer your cannelloni and pour the rest of the sauce on top. Sprinkle some cheese and bake for about 20 minutes in  a moderate oven.

Serve with salad.

If you need to make it more fancy use individual dishes for each person.  The boys got two mince and a ricotta and the girls got one of each for our little dinner party.

The Help

 I thought I posted about reading the book The Help by Kathyrn Stockett sometime back but I mustn't have. I loved it and am thrilled to see it is now out as a movie :-) I'm super excited to go - I'm planning on taking myself off to it this Friday night as I have a crazy busy week at work and that will be my treat.
