In our home like so many others around Australia my girls sat their first naplan test. Love it or hate it it's part of the school experience. They were full of chatter and could spout to me why we shouldn't be spending so much money on toys and games - 7 different reasons they came up with between the two of them and all pretty valid I was impressed.
I responded so no more Blythe in our house then?
to which they replied
Don't be silly Mumma it's just a test.
LOL gotta love that.
Our preparation included me buying them a banana each for their lunch boxes to have as their snack between tests. I took more time and care on packing their lunch today than I usually do and i packed my own. As we rushed out the door this morning mine of course was left sitting on the bench. Typical.
They were both so thrilled with their banana - so I went back to the shops this afternoon and got them another one for tomorrow. At the same time I bought 8 mandarins which was the same price as my two small bananas. Crazy.
I keep looking at them thinking I'd love a banana on my cereal in the morning. Maybe for Thursday I'll buy them one more each and get a third one for myself.
If you have little or not so little naplanners this week I hope it all goes to plan :)
PS Just in case you think Richard is hard done by because he doesn't make the banana receiving list - he's not - he's off jettsetting. It's just me and the girls this week and next. I've remembered to put the bins out tonight in preparation for tomorrow so I consider myself totally under control.
