Yesterday I hit the op shops to see what I could find in vintage sheets - I actually wasn't very hopeful as I'd never really looked for sheets before but I was lucky :)
I visited my favourite two in Nerang and managed to get a double bed sheet set and then in the second store I found a single sheet in great condition.
I also headed down to Burleigh to a store that I read online was good - and it was! I found a great tablecloth - also cotton so I figured that would work - One of my sets cut up a smidgen short but I'm thinking its still all good.
I ended up with 41 fat quarters - well 43 actually but I have kept two for myself.
I used this little tute to work out how to fold them up so they stayed together - its simple and a good trick to know I think.
I did however have a miss -I found these great pillow cases I loved them but I don't know what I was thinking they are far too narrow to cut into fat quarters - never mind I have cut a good chunk out of one for me and have gifted the other one and the leftovers to a crafty friend who I know will put them to good use.
So my parcel is packaged up ready to go tomorrow and I'm beside myself with anticipation of whats going to come back.
