Tonight I have just finished up the santa wrapping and most of the Mumma Daddy wrapping. We have two sorts of gifts some from us and a couple from Santa - Santa ones are usually just one or two bigger items and then Mumma and Daddy gifts are the clothes pjs books, stuff for school, girl guide camp equipment:) That way when things are tough Santa gets a look in and its Mum and Dad who don't have as much to give.
So Mumma and Daddy gifts are wrapped in red and white polka dots and Santa is in gold polka dots - which was really cool to find - I only saw it yesterday at borders for 50% off. I didn't want the how come you used the same paper as Santa question... I figure for the few years we get this little bit of magic I may as well hold on to it.
We have a doll theme running through the gifts this year. Santa is bringing th emuch coveted blythe dolls which will be unbelievably exciting. They both think they have to be 12 to get one so its not even on the radar for them. My Ma made some sweet clothes for them- and sigh I was going to make some quilts ala princess and the pea but I have run out of time - Never mind maybe it can be a holiday activity.
As well as Blythe I have some paper dolls from Belle and Boo- one that comes in the back of the Bubbles before bed book and another one too. Some time back they ran a two for one promotion so I ordered two paper doll sets.
Over on the blog are three sets of clothes for free print out. One has a picture of Obama on it so I deleted that and added a Belle and Boo Donut picture instead LOL Obama isnt part of the girls knowledge but donuts are!
So I printed those out tonight and popped them all into an Ikea folder with a new pair of scissors. I figure this is a great little set to take out .
This is the folder- 2 for $2.49 - they are really sturdy
I printed this free download onto sticky paper
and added it to the front of the folder
and there we have ot two sets of dolls folders ready to go :)
I have the Black Apple Dolly Book - It's arrived and I am desperate to see it - but I was good and gave it to Richard to keep - I'm thinking I need my own folder to put my dollies in.
Looking forward to playing paper dolls with my girls :) I always loved it as a child so I'm thinking the adult version is going to be even more fun :)
