My new little crafting circle began tonight - only two ladies could make due to a family emergency, an illness, and a late work assignment and we had such a busy crazy difficult week at work I almost called it off.
But I didn't.
and I am so glad I didn't.
Lovely treats and plenty of hot tea - chatting chatting chatting and in between we did some crafting - well I did the other ladies were chatting watching me and offering advice :0 its was really really so good. ( They did bring projects too! )
I have a mix of friends from different parts of the school, from outside school and a range of ages ;) I'm kind of in the middle :)- An eclectic group which I hope brings a great range of conversations and ideas over the months.
I made caramel tarts - using nestle caramel and Arnotts biscuits for the bases - so simple but so delicious. One lady bought a YUMMY cheese platter complete with fig paste, walnuts and white costello cheese and those lovely chocolate balls pictured have just become a firm favourite. Ill be stalking the bakery she found them in. That's my project - I pulled together some pretty laces, doilies and discarded jewellery and I'm working on a christmas tree stitching project totally inspired by the lovely Jilly. I am loving it already and I think just another 2 hours and Ill have it done.
I highly recommend it - call together your friends - or maybe like me just some colleagues who you know share the love of crafting or perhaps want to craft more often. Pop the kettle on pull out some pretty teacups and you are ready to go. Set a date. It's awesome :)
We have decided our next dates are the 3rd December and the 14th of January .
Already I can't wait!I
