 I had to enlist the help of the B team this month to get the boxing side completed due to conflicting schedules from my usual gang and a last minute cry for help from a friend for Richard so it was just the girls and I.

 they are such good helpers - and the promise of new hair clips and a trip to Borders didn't hurt either:)

I have had multiple requests for dress forms  so I have place a pre orders up under limited editions -

Fete Wrap Up

Tiring but fun day -started with dropping off our boxes of goodies for the cake stall and raffle prizes at 8.30am then over to mass as we were on roster at 9.00am and the fete was tied in with an open day for school as well so we had the chance to call in and see the girls classroom and their work so far as well! -  we are so fortunate they have a wonderful teacher who they adore and seems to go beyond the extra to make sure their time in the classroom is fabulous - We love what she does.

then we headed down to the fete  The all day ride pass was a great plan

They spent their day on just two rides! over and over and over we saw this

which all looks calm and good but really goes up high

and drops suddenly

My grandparents came down to visit as well so we spent some time with them having coffee while the girls were riding.
I was saying to a friend how quickly we spent money at the fete was last year - and they suggested I give the girls pocket money. Very wise!   so they had $10 each to spend as they wanted.

they quickly worked out if they did crazy candles they would only have $1 left -so they gave that one up fast - instead their pocket money was spent on sand pictures $5  - which turned out very cool- and are now laminated on the fridge

and  cupcake decorating $3

 with $2 left over for saving :)

SO many more people this year -  we saw the principal dunked in the dunking machine :) watched performances from the school dancers and also songs from the school musical and of course Richard and I both did our time on the cake stall which was fun - lots of people to talk to and lots of goodies to sell - we were on in the afternoon so were allowed to haggle the prices :)

Ok weekend all updated - back to it monday - looking forward to my hot tea and rocky road from the fete later.

Caramel Popcorn

Next on our list for the fete was caramel popcorn. It was relatively easy and quite fun for the girls to make.
 First pop the corn :)

and dont take the lid off until its stops popping -or it might hit you in the eye :(

spread out onto trays lined with alfoil

allow to cool while you make the caramel
 250gm butter and 2 cups of brown sugar covers one whole bag of popped corn ( 375gms kernels)

stir until its all thick and yummy

pour over the trays of popcorn and mix it through

we bagged it into snaplog bags then popped them into noodle boxes

then added printed labels and a strip of fabric for colour

she really wanted that photo I promise planned it herself
along with this natural one LOL

too much top model influence :)

Okay off to do chocolate muffins now the girls are asleep

Overheard this morning

when Richard returned from golf he asked the girls how their morning had been
 Oh Daddy its so good that Poppy has come to love with us now Mummy is just like a friend with a dolly :)
