March Collection on site now- This month's guest designer is Ngaire Bartlam- Yay!
A quick post as I'm right in the middle of editing the site - which changes tomorrow night!
The weekend finished with the Pirate Party - Margie outdid herself- Pirate patches, tattoos, walk the plank games, treasure, Hunt treasure coins, Balloon swords. My two weren't the only girls who decided they didn't want to be pirates- there were a few mermids and tinkerbells- but plenty of serious looking pirates too! So heres some shots taken before we left for Pirate Island
I'm loving the target range of clothes for this season
Loving that the girls chose this all themselves
Loving that they chose matching
Loving the photos where they have to be cuddling or kissing - so cute Doesn't make for great photography - but its real and very them right now.
Right - Talia - Left Sofia
Right Talia - Left Sofia
And finally the masterpiece Pirate ship!
Very cool- I know where I will be going when I need bday cakes!
Now its back to work!
The socks -and shoes were a big hit- Even managed to entice Sofia out of the Ballerina outfit that she normally wears
Few quck photos taken this morning - before the monring turned pear shaped and I realised I had lost my wallet- Cards all cancelled - so many things in there - so very not happy.
Nevermind moving on..
How cute are these??
Morning madness pillows blankies sleepy girls toast and TV gotta love the get out the door thing to get to daycare and work
Gallery stuff! YAY
Thursday nights we can usually be found down at Helensvale Westfield - doing Late Nite as the teenagers like to call it -
Dinner is always the same - Chicken nuggets chips and a toy - Talia Pancakes - Sofia
They always want the same and then end up eating a bit of each others and usually 3/4 of whatever Richard and I have.
Tonight was no different-
It's a struggle enough just to do the dinner thing but every now and then I cause myself extra stress and attempt to get a "job" done while I am there
Tonight I thought we should buy something that resembled a pirates outfit for the pirate party we are going to on Sunday.
After much discussion about what pirates wear and a hurried call to Aunt Margie - the pirate party - hostess, we decided on jeans and striped shirts - Aunt Margie is providing pirate hats and patches.
Pancakes and nuggets demolished we head to target to get our pirate outfits- we have a plan - and Talia said - "Yeah Mumma its a good plant" . I was pleased.
45 minutes later we emerge
2 black rose embroidered skirts - 2 pink ruffle jackets 6 pairs of striped socks that go up to our knees
While I was lamenting my lack of control over anything my daughters want to wear - Richard as sympathetic as always stood watching and laughing - He knows how many years I have of this ahead of me - He's laughing because soon I will be doing it by myself - he thinks he won't have to accompany us in the not too distant future - Huh I am laughing because I may be soon doing it by myself but he will always be paying for it.
Embroidered skirts! - more than anything have paid for a skirt lately - x 2 :( There had better be good photos thats all I have to say.
Sorry Margie and Ryan - we will still wear the hats and patches though!
My Epson printer that cost a ridiculous amount a just a short time ago ( but out of warranty of course!) died- and I have been ignoring it and making do with just a laser black and white - I finally decided it was crazy and I had to get a new printer - I wasn't going to buy Canon - Epson the only way - I wanted to be able to print good photos - I had my heart set on Epson - I am terrible at little things like - remembering what cartridges to buy and how to put them in - I like familiar.
I took Paul- the guru of shop around research extensively on the net and be prepared - The absolute opposite to me - He handed me 50 sheets of specs and comparisons as I got in the car and I vaguely flicked thru them saying I want Epson.
We got to office works - He showed me the Canon - a Pixma MP170 - $179 I walked passed it to get to the Epsons. He read all the stuff - I didn't believe him I argued the point - He kept on at me - I gave in - Thats the problem with me - I do give in if you hassle me enough - I figured if it died at the end of warranty so be it - My ears did perk up at the idea of 100 year ink- I cant tell you what its called but apparently Canon have this new ink - and photos last 100 years .
I dragged it home - not totally convinced -
Took me 5 minutes to set up- That made me happy -
I pirnted and held my breath- the photos are amazing! Amazing!! - It's so simple and so much better than anything I ever printed on my Epson.
I can't believe I haven't done this before
I can't believe I was so stubborn about things I knew so very little about.
Today I came home from work printed photos and scrapped two pages . so so easy and so happy!
How good is that ?
I heart my new printer - And I have to heart Paul too for making me get it!

Wow wow wow - I am blown away by the response here publically on my blog and the behind the scenes emails too - No other words can describe it - I know I say it all the time but I am truly blessed. Blessed to be so supported and to be working within an industry that makes us stop and enjoy the moments. Life is so rushed its wonderful that we take time to stop and spend some a few minutes in others lives. I know I am richer for all that I read and for everything people share with me.
