Our newly designed Style Studios - bought to you every second month. First up we have Styling with Fabric !
We are thrilled to bring you this project which has been three months in the making :-)
Basically we are offering a MONTH long class that runs through our private blog. Filled with information inspiration and ideas.
Who has designed the class?Five of our designers work together to bring you a cohesive inspiring online experience. We carefully plan out our projects quite often building on one another's ideas so you don't just see things one way.
What sort of projects will we be working on ?Each style school will offer different projects and we like to keep some of it as a surprise but this month we have
- Scrapbook Layouts - of course
- Mixed Media Painting Projects
- Hand Stitching Projects
- Machine Stitching Projects
- Mini Albums
- Crochet Projects
- Flower Making
- Altered Items
- Home Decor Pieces
All based around our love of fabric. Class will be delivered through a variety of techniques including Step by Steps, downloads, video presentations and Inspiration posts.
I don't really sew .. is there much sewing?I don't really sew either. I'm sort of a taught myself girl and one of our other designers doesn't sew at all! So we have different projects to suit all levels and abilities and mostly you will find you can step it up a notch if you are an expert already. We clearly explain our work as we go and if you get stuck just ask - the comments are enabled so its easy for us to get back to you fast.
How long do I have to complete the projects?This class will stay online until the end of the year
Each style studio sits in its own unique blog so you don't have to worry about rushing to finish because we are moving on to the next thing. I have already earmarked a couple of projects I'd like to give a go for Christmas gifts for this year.
I really just want to scrapbook is there enough for me?Absolutely - We have lots of scrapbooking ideas and also some bits for cardmakers too. This allows us to explore lots of different crafts while we still work with the papercrafting that we all love so much.
How will it work?
Each day a new post will go up - at 9.00am - we have a Welcome one that is ready for Thursday 27th and then our first project goes live on Saturday morning
Will there be supply lists ?Yes we have down-loadable lists for you that allow you to be prepared but mostly we are working on using everyday things we have in our stashes.
Do I need to purchase the fabric pack to participate ?No not at all - This is the fabric the designers have worked with so you will see it through their projects but no doubt you have a lovely stash at home. We also have listed for you some of our favourite online places to purchase fabric so you have plenty to choose from.
I'd like my daughter/son to participate is that Ok?Absolutely - I often have my girls working with me - while no projects are specifically aimed at children if we know we have some joining us we will accommodate them for sure and I already know there are a few projects that my girls would love to make and would easily be able to too ( they are 7 if that helps you) .

Finally we just want you to know this is more than just a hand out PDF style of class You can interact with the designers and your classmates as much or as little as you like. We have lots to share with you beyond the actual projects - snippets of inspiration and we have made sure that all our projects and ideas and classroom is well styled and lovely to look at too.
